Synopsis: Optimisation procedures. Integer programming formulation, zero-one programming, branch-and-bound algorithm. Goal programming. Design of experiments, engineering experimentation. Analysis of variance, fixed-effect and random effect models. Randomised blocks, latin squares, incomplete block design. Factorial design. Confounding.
Assessment: Examination (2 hours): 70% + Assignments and coursework: 30%
