Synopsis: This subject will introduce students to a variety of issues, concepts and methodological techniques associated with information management and systems research. Skills developed and knowledge acquired from this subject will assist in preparing students for a number of future situations including conducting research for their own degree as well as to be knowledgeable consumers of research conducted by others. The students will be trained to critically evaluate research literature and be able to present their reviews orally and in writing.

Assessment: Written assignment (3000 words):50% + Class presentation: 20% + Workshop and discussion participation: 30%
