12 points + 10 studio hours and 14 independent study hours per week + First semester + Caulfield + Prerequisites: IDE3106 or a bachelor pass degree in industrial design + Corequisites: TAD4501

Synopsis: This subject is a preliminary to undertaking the major project. Topics address gaps in students0 understanding or capabilities, issues relating to the major project topic, or the development of specialist capabilities. Students are particularly concerned with the development of their personal design philosophy, the way in which it responds to social needs, and its visual and social expression.
