Synopsis: An overview of studio practice in industrial design. The design process with particular reference to creative idea formulation; information searching, problem-solving, and incorporation of two and three-dimensional design principles in terms of form development. User-centred design models considered in terms of cultural, physical, logical and semantic constraints; mapping relationships, standardisation, control and feedback factors. Methods of design communication and presentation.
