8 points + 3 hours of lectures/seminars per week + First semester + Clayton

Synopsis: This subject provides experience and develops skills in the designing and communicating of information for school students. The subject covers major issues in 'teaching history' and introduces skills in designing, developing and reviewing teaching materials, learning objectives and outcomes. Students will design and then deliver a set of curriculum materials in a secondary school classroom OR develop web-based teaching and learning resources for schools (prior skills are needed for this option.)

Assessment: Reflective essay (1000 words): 20% + Curriculum materials and teaching strategy (4000 words): 50% + Project report (1000 words): 15% + School evaluation: 15%
