Synopsis: Theoretical traditions in sociology which criticise modify, and respond to positivistic and naturalistic theory and method. Research strategies associated with these theoretical perspectives. Emerging possibilities for theory and research building on the perspectives of interpretive sociology.

Assessment: Written reports and essays (6000 words): 100%
