6 points + 6 weeks (twelve 1-hour lectures, three 2-hour tutorials, two 2-hour journal review sessions, a 4-hour case study seminar) and 1 week practical project + Clayton, MMC + First semester

Synopsis: All aspects of human pregnancy from implantation to the puerperium. Subject taught by both basic and clinical scientists, thereby affording the student an appreciation of the close integration between the disciplines. The module will be taught in four sections: implantation and placentation, the fetus, the mother and politics of pregnancy.

Assessment: Open-book written examination (1.5 hours) + Literature review (3000 words) + Written project report
