Synopsis: This subject aims to further develop the professional role of community nurses to be able to function as a specialist and advanced practitioner in a variety of community orientated contexts. The subject examines models of care that emphasis a developmental and contextual orientation, and also studies professional frameworks for community health practice including exploration of independent and expanded practice, professional, legal and ethical issues, standards and communication issues and project/program and quality management concepts and processes.

Assessment: Assignment 1: 35% Case Conferencing 25% Assignment 2: 40%
