Synopsis: Conceptual identification of spatial analysis methods for producing user-defined maps from a range of geocoded digital data. Methods in thematic mapping across a range of natural science applications. Content is arranged to facilitate reading, discussion and practical work using vector and raster digital data as input to computer-based geographical information systems.Includes use of satellite imagery.

Assessment: Written (2500 words): 25% + Practical examination and practical exercises: 50% + Examination (2 hours): 25%
