Synopsis: Structural design philosophy, properties of steel and reinforced concrete, analysis of reinforced concrete sections in flexure. Analysis and design of reinforced concrete beams for flexure and shear, steel tension members, steel beams and connections in steel structures according to relevant design standards.
Assessment: Examination: 70% + Assignments: 30%
