Synopsis: Object-oriented multimedia, media classes. Multimedia object representation and operations. Details of some standard multimedia file formats. Programming with multimedia file formats. Programming for recording and playing back of multimedia objects. Incorporating special effects and animation to multimedia objects. Multimedia programming for interactive multimedia applications, including WWW applications. Access to the university's computer systems through an Internet service provider is compulsory for distance education students.
Assessment: Assignments: 60% + Examination (2 hours): 40%
