Synopsis: User interface design and development. Behavioural and constructional modelling techniques; cognitive frameworks, mental models, interface metaphors, conceptual models. Interaction design; user-centred design, task analysis, standards, evaluation. Implementation support; toolkits, user interface managment systems, multi-modal and multimedia systems. Computer supported cooperative work. Visualisation and distortion oriented displays.
Assessment: Examination (2 hours): 50% + Other assessment modes: 50%
