Synopsis: The subject reinforces and develops students0 language skills, within realistic business situations where it is also necessary to draw on socio-cultural knowledge regarding register, politeness, etc. The subject introduces key business communication skills and the language of French business practice used in everyday business situations. Students are required to use these skills and language whilst taking into account differences in linguistic and socio-cultural practice. The subject also requires students to discover key information on the structure of the French economy and on the practice of Franco-Australian trade.
Assessment: Written business communications (letters, report): 35% + Oral business communications (phone calls, presentations): 35% + Information research and retrieval from Internet, video and written sources: 30%
