Synopsis: Energy sources and resources including renewable energy. Major conventional systems of power generation and their optimal equipment including steam turbines, gas turbines and internal combustion engines. Energy generation from solar, small hydro, wind and wave including energy storage. Reversed cycles for heat pumping and refrigeration.

Assessment: Examination: 70% + Assignments: 15% + Laboratory: 15%
