Synopsis: Discrete-time systems: sampling, reconstruction and discrete equivalents, pulse transfer function, difference equations, state equations and their solutions. Controller design: classical approaches, poles assignment, state feedback/estimation, controllability/observability, optimal filter, robust control. System identification and adaptive control: recursive estimation, adaptive control systems. Real-time programming: concurrence, pre-emptive and mutual exclusion etc. Digital control system configuration.
Assessment: Examination (3 hours): 60% + Laboratory work: 40%
