24 points + First and second semester + Clayton + 3 hours per week + A minimum of 240 hours client contact during placement in the general fields of psychological assessment and intervention and 240 hours in non-contact activities in the placement setting + Prerequisites: Satisfactory performance in relevant academic subjects
Synopsis: The practicum develops a range of professional skills and acquaints students with issues of professional ethics and practice in psychology. Students spend up to four days per week during the November-October period on placement. In all, students undertake three placements (one minor and two major). Total days on placement must be at least 240 over the placements. Students also attend fortnightly meetings with their university supervisors.
Assessment: Written case reports (1500-3000 words): 60% + Evaluations: 40%
