Synopsis: Social perspectives on issues in teaching and learning, extra-curricula settings and issues of educational significance. These include social change and continuity over time; difference and equity in educational philosophy; policy and funding; incorporating class, gender, indigenous and multicultural perspectives; religion; integration and current initiatives in education such as civics and citizenship education and key competencies.
