Synopsis: This subject has two modules: Roles and Responsibilities (Semester One) and Program Development (Semester Two). Module One is designed to provide students with the knowledge relating to the legal requirements and responsibilities associated with their 'duty of care' as teachers including the identification of indicators of abuse and other situations requiring intervention. Module Two is designed to provide students with the opportunity to be responsible for the planning, delivery, assessment and evaluation of an integrated unit of work across a number of Key Learning Areas or a developmental sequence across a number of grade levels within a specialist area. Fieldwork of 40 days.

Assessment: Portfolio covering all modules within Practicum Studies A, B and C, 5000 words + Satisfactory completion of a Practicum Program of 40 days + Pass grade only.
