Synopsis: This subject provides students with opportunities to reflect critically and creatively on the future directions of adult learning and development in the light of the current developments and emerging trends that are reshaping their work and profession. Recent shifts in conceptual and practical frameworks for understanding and organising adult learning and development will be examined, such as those relating to 'lifelong learning', the 'learning organisation', and the 'learning society'. Students will analyse the potential implications of current and emerging trends for adult educators, learners, develop skills and strategies for participating in, facilitating and influencing change processes

Assessment: Assignment one (2000 words) : 30% + Assignment two (3000 words) : 70%
