Synopsis: This subject has been designed to meet the needs of teachers wishing to further their knowledge of disability as this relates to intellectual and learning disabilities. This subject will be included in the schedule of subjects offered to third and forth year students enrolled in Bachelor of Educational Studies (Special Education), Bachelor of Educational Studies, Grad. Dip. Education (PDS) and double degree studies

Assessment: A critical essay reviewing the literature in depth on a selected approach to assessment and intervention for students with intellectual and learning disabilities (1600 words) (40%); Review of a current program for students with intellectual and learning disabilities (1600 words) (40%); Practical Exercise (800) (20%)
