6 points + 2 hours per week + Second semester + Peninsula + Prerequisites: EDF2202(EDP2105) and EDF2507(EDP2501).

Synopsis: Child care services for children under three years of age, including program planning, implementation, and evaluation. Centre-based care and family day care. The importance of partnership with parents of very young children. Students undertake a 20-day practicum placement in a child care centre with a group of under three year olds in which they demonstrate the skills, knowledge and attitudes of a competent team leader.

Assessment: Written program (3000 words): 60% + Assignment (2000 words): 40%
