Synopsis: Theory and practice of computer programming in the graphical user interface environment. Fundamentals of visual programming, modular design, algorithm development and the program development lifecycle. Structured programming including sequence, iteration and choice; and the elements and syntax of the chosen language.

Assessment: Assignment (approx 5000 words equivalent): 50% + Examination (2 hours): 50%
