Synopsis: This subject has been developed in response to radical changes in the way that education and training are being constructed and delivered. The subject will develop students' understandings of the impact that the convergence of information technology and telecommunications is having upon the learner, the teacher, the workplace, the education provider and society in general. Attention will be given to the various government and organisational influences which are directing these changes. Through a study of technology, and teaching and learning theory, students will be introduced to the basic principles underpinning the design of educational multimedia resources

Assessment: Assignment 1 (1,500 words) 20%, Assignment 2 (2,500 words) 80%
