Synopsis: The subject covers a range of information and skills designed to enhance participants' abilities and attributes as practitioners in the field of adult and work-related learning. This is accomplished through introducing study and research skills relevant to the effective development, delivery and evaluation of adult and workplace learning; creating an understanding of the contribution of research to community and workplace learning contexts; and developing an awareness of the value of ongoing professional development for community and workplace practitioners.

Assessment: Assessment tasks equivalent in total to 4,000 words: Maintain a learning log (to be assessed at 3 different points during semester) [Objectives 1&3]50% + Develop an annotated list of adult and work-related learning resources (minimum of ten entries) [Objective Two 20% + Write a brief comparison of two research-based articles on adult and/or work-related learning [Objective Two] 30% NOTE: This subject is assessed at Pass Grade Only (PGO)
