Synopsis: Money, interest rate and income; government and aggregate demand; implementation of monetary policy; new classical analysis and new Keynesian explanation of output fluctuations; inflation and unemployment; foreign exchange market; balance of payment and macroeconomic activity; current account deficit and monetary policy.

Assessment: Distance - Written assignment: 20% + Examination (2 hours): 80%. On-campus - Class participation: 10% + Class test or written assignment: 20% + Examinaton (2 hours): 70%
