3 points + 2 studio hours and 4 independent study hours per week + First or second semester + Caulfield, Gippsland

Synopsis: Introduction to computers as a tool for artists and designers. Acquisition of skills, especially the ability to create, adapt, edit and manipulate digital images. Introduction to the various software options including, /drawing0, /painting0 and /photographic editing0 software. Students are encouraged to push the boundaries of the computer as a creative tool, understanding the importance of their own willingness to visualise, conceptualise, experiment and seek innovative solutions to problems.

Assessment: Weekly exercises: 40% + Projects: 50% + Journal: 10%
