Applied Immunology II

Synopsis: The initial part of this practical-based subject covers principles of molecular and cellular immunology including PCR as well as techniques for measuring cytokine production, cell cytotoxocity and B cell function. In addition, students will be placed in research laboratories within the department for the purpose of gaining project-based laboratory experience.

Assessment: Practical class reports: 50% + Project report: 50%
