Synopsis: The characteristics of space, objects and images as parts of the habitat; the human experience of them; and the interrelationship between them. Design is dealt with as an analytical and synthesising process to explore the possibilities of space, object and image and the way the experience of them can be enhanced and how they may be applied to meet human needs. Project work is undertaken to explore and create design concepts within a framework of basic design studies.
Assessment: Projects: 90% + Oral and written presentations: 10%
