Synopsis: The role of and the service and protocol standards for the OSI session and presentation layers: the OSI ACSE, RTSE, and ROSE; selected OSI applications. GOSIPs. Selected open non-OSI applications and their relationship to OSI. Implementation of a simple OSI application.

Assessment: Assignments: 60% + Examination: 40%
