Synopsis: Topics include object-oriented analysis and design notations including UML; object-oriented design methods; user interface design and prototyping; object-oriented development processes; software architecture styles and frameworks and design patterns; interfacing OO systems with procedural languages and relational databases; implementation issues for OO systems.

Assessment: Examination (3 hours): 40% + Unit test and practical work: 60%
