Synopsis: Students work in groups on a software project for a client who may be internal or external to Monash. In general, projects involve all aspects of the system development lifecycle, and groups are responsible for their own project management, with guidance from their academic supervisor. A student in part-time or full-time employment in the computer industry may, with the agreement of all parties, apply for exemption without credit for this subject. If exemption is granted, the student will be required to take twelve points of third-year CSSE electives in place of the project. Final assessment is based both on the product and the processes they have followed.
