Synopsis: Pre-, intra- and postoperative care of patients undergoing a range of specialist anaesthetic interventions. Optimal care of high risk patients (eg the neonate) during anaesthesia and in the Post Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU). Pharmacokinetics and pharmacology, electrocardiograph and haematological interpretation, and Advanced Life Support.
Assessment: Clinical portfolio (3000 words; Master of Nursing level 5000 words): 60% + Clinical performance appraisal: 40%
