Synopsis: Transport systems planning process and the role of transport modelling. Characteristics of modes (supply) and travel demand, matching demand and supply. Network modelling fundamentals, trip generation, trip distribution, mode choice and traffic assignment. Transport survey process, sample design, questionnaire design. Travel demand management techniques. Sustainable travel.
Assessment: Examinations: 60% + Practical work, assignments and reports: 40%
