Synopsis: Hydrologic processes and catchment modelling for yield estimation and flood estimation purposes. Streamflow regimes, catchment yield, storage-yield-reliability analysis, streamflow data generation. Risk and uncertainty. Flood estimation: flood frequency analysis, design storm estimation, runoff routing. Soil water, groundwater movement. Catchment and floodplain management. Principles of water resources systems planning and management. Water law.

Assessment: Examinations (3 hours): 75% + Practical work: 25%
