Synopsis: Loads and load paths for multi-storey structures, including the action of core walls. Design of composite steel-concrete floor systems. Matrix structural analysis for the determination of forces and displacements in structures, and for determination of the dynamic response of simple structures. Relationship between frame analysis software and the technique of matrix analysis. Emphasis on performance issues for buildings which are not related to strength and deflection.
