Synopsis: Inorganic chemistry Bonding and molecular shapes, redox reactions, metal chemistry, non-metal chemistry, roasting and smelting, electrochemical purification/isolation, coordination chemistry, industrial processes, application of redox, group separation, complexation and electrochemistry. Organic chemistry. Chemistry upon which the preparation of many industrial processes are based; material divided according to carbon number of chemicals, eg /C1 chemistry0 discusses methane, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and their conversion to methanol etc, new chemical reactions, polymer chemistry, hazardous nature of chemicals.
Assessment: Examination (2.5 hours): 80% + Laboratory work: 20%
