Synopsis: Mass transfer-coefficients, equilibrium state; analytical and graphical solutions for selected unit operations. Heat transfer-coefficients, mechanisms, analogies; analysis for jacketed vessel, double-pipe and shell-and-tube heat exchangers. Flow through pipes; friction factor, Reynold0s number, laminar and turbulent flow. Particle drag. Pumping of fluids.
