6 points + One 2-hour lecture and one 1-hour tutorial per week + Second semester, Clayton + Prerequisites: A business systems computing subject at first- or second-year level or equivalent

Synopsis: How to develop a formal business case document. Analysis of the business, aligning IT to business strategies, initiating change through to the implementation, review and maintenance of the improvement process. Practical assignments addressing the proposal, development and presentation of business cases are carried out in a (project) team.

Assessment: Assignment : 40% + Examination (2 hours): 60% + Students must pass the examination in order to pass the subject.
