Synopsis: Communications theory and practice; personal, public and mass communication; matching register to context, audience and purpose; active-interactive listening; oral presentations - organisation, planning and delivery; writing - business reports, memos, technical reports, use of graphics, business letters, job applications and CVs; meetings and interviews - protocols and procedures; negotiation skills; organisational culture - professional roles and relationships, cross-cultural interactions, business ethics.

Assessment: Second semester: Assignments: 70% + Examination (2 hour): 30% + Summer semester: Assignments: 70% + Seminar participation and presentations: 30%
