Synopsis: A theoretical framework for the projects studied in metal practice and theory. Introduction to materials and technologies in disciplines and industries associated with the production of contemporary jewellery and metalsmithing. Technology workshops assist students in developing technical skills and language. Students are encouraged to experiment with materials, processes and forms, and to appreciate in what ways these determine the finished result.
