Synopsis: This multi-disciplinary and process oriented course addresses the special issues facing the family owned and managed business and gives participants an appreciation of the special dynamics in family firms and how to be professional managers in such organisations. The course focuses on the management, financial, legal, personal and interpersonal issues specific to families in business.

Assessment: Assignment (1500 words): 20% + Group case study assignment (4000 words): 50% + Group oral presentation (20 minutes): 10% + Examination (2 hours): 20%
