Synopsis: Control and audit issues in computer information systems, including batch, on-line, database, microcomputer - EFTS and EDI processing environments. Expert systems and decision support systems. Current issues and developments in auditing, including the assurance framework, the expectation gap, auditor0s liability, auditor0s independence and the role of the auditor-general.

Assessment: Research assignment: 50% + Case study: 20% + Two class presentations: 30%
