This course aims to provide graduates with a knowledge and understanding of
graphic design or multimedia design and the capability to practise as a
designer in that field; skills in design or mutilmedia strategy, concept
forming, problem solving, design development and communication; the ability to
exercise imagination and innovation in developing visual ideas; a knowledge and
understanding of the aesthetic aspects of design, graphic design or multimedia
design, and an ability to explore aesthetic resolutions.
The course is undertaken over one semester full-time or two semesters
part-time.
Applicants should have completed an undergraduate degree with a major study in
one of the relevant fine art or design disciplines, or equivalent pass degree.
Depending upon the number of places available, students may also be required to
submit a portfolio of studio work for selection into the course.
