In recognition of the contribution of the former head of the Department of Physiology, Professor Geoffrey Donald Thorburn, this prize to the value of $200, is to be awarded annually to the best student in fourth-year level physiology, either in the Faculty of Science BSc(Hons) or the Faculty of Medicine BMedSci course.

Physiology Prize

This prize, to the value of $200, is to be awarded annually to the best student enrolled in twenty-four points of third-year level physiology subjects offered in the Faculty of Science.

Maclab Prize

This prize, to the value of $300, is to be awarded annually to the best student enrolled in sixteen points of second-year level physiology subjects offered in the Faculty of Science.
