Synopsis This subject aims to develop a discerning interpretation of information about chemical substances in order to evaluate their potential and actual effects on humans and animals. Dose-response relationships, exposure standards, Biological Exposure Indices, patterns of organ toxicity, acute and chronic toxicity tests, no observed effect levels, application of in vivo and in vitro test results to humans, sources of information, genotoxicity, reproductive toxicology, neurobehavioural toxicology, immunotoxicology and carcinogenesis will be covered.
