Synopsis This aim is to convey the important ways in which the onset or development of disease is influenced by work, principally in Victoria. At the end of this subject, students will be aware of locally common (or otherwise important) work-related diseases of the locomotor system, psyche, respiratory tract, ear, skin and other systems (including infective and neoplastic diseases). They will also know the elements of taking an occupational history about certain basic treatments, and the influence of disease processes on fitness for work.
