Objectives At the completion of this subject, students will have a sound understanding of the principles underlying the special disciplines of public health, forensic medicine, geriatric medicine, rehabilitation medicine and therapeutics; core knowledge related to each individual area as well as areas of knowledge overlap; integration of these disciplines at a practical and clinical level; the principles and practise of evidence-based medicine.
Synopsis six weeks integrated teaching involving seminars, debates, lectures, computer-based self-directed learning exercises and visits to relevant public health institutions as outlined in sections MED6004, MED6005 and MED6006 of the sixth-year curriculum.
Assessment MCQ exam: 5% · Continuous assessment (reports/presentations and class participation (satisfactory faculty requirement)
