Synopsis This subject focuses on practical aspects of medication use. Drug information resources; basic background pharmacokinetics; pharmacodynamics; clinical pharmacology; stability of medicines. Medication and the elderly; analgesics; cytotoxics; poisonings; zoonoses; practical pharmacy use in a rural community; non-insulin dependent diabetes; antibiotics; cardiovascular drugs; respiratory drug treatment.
Special requirements Access to personal computer facilities and modem is desirable but not essential. Residential attendance is not required.
