Objectives Students who successfully complete this subject should (1) be sensitised to the existence of another major approach to law; (2) be familiar with the major characteristics of the continental European legal system; (3) acquire an understanding of the comparative method; and (4) be able to evaluate and analyse their own legal systems from a new perspective.
