Objectives At the completion of this subject students should be able to understand the processes involved in selecting and procuring computer equipment.

Synopsis Establishing user requirements. The selection process, documentation, specification and supervision. The law applicable to computer procurement, methods for avoiding and solving legal problems in computer procurement. The role of management, expressions of interest, RFP preparation, evaluation of response, negotiation, acceptance testing and implementation. Financing of computer acquisition.

Assessment Examination (2 hours): 50% - Practical work: 50%
